Singapore Seletar Airport

In Singapore, the Seletar Airport which is located at the northeast direction of the Singapore Island is situated close to Lower Seletar Reservoir and Pulau Punggol Barat where the Seletar Airport is just 13 kilometers away from downtown. The Seletar Airport is actually the first international airport for Singapore and it was completed at roughly the year 1929. However shortly after 8 years, the Seletar Airport was replaced by the Kallang Airport as the new international airport for Singapore.

As the Seletar Airport at Singapore was constructed backed in the early days, there is only a single 1.6 meter runway at the whole airport though however, there are around 27 aircraft stands located at the Seletar Airport. Until the year 1998, the Seletar Airport has recorded scheduled flights of 7,945 with 23919 numbers of passenger and as well as 6025 tons of cargos. Currently there are two operating airlines at the Seletar Airport and these two airlines are known as Airmark Aviation Private Limited and as well as Berjaya Air. Usually, the Seletar Airport handles scheduled flights to Malaysia (includes Pulau Tioman and Redang Island) and as well as chartered flights to Batam at Indonesia.

For the infrastructure and as well as the facilities of the airport, there are two check in counters with other facilities such as passenger service, VIP lounge and as well as taxi stall. In addition to that, there is a canteen situated closely to the airport for the convenience of the passengers and visitors. As for the cargo handling ability, the Seletar Airport, with a warehouse area of 100 square meters can handles up to 840 tons of cargo per day.
