Singapore is actually a diamond shaped island which is closely situated to one of the states in Malaysia, Johor. Besides having Malaysia as a neighboring country, the area around Singapore can be said to be nothing but the blue sea. Besides the main island, Singapore is also being heavily surrounded by a series of smaller islands and some of the better known smaller islands in Singapore include Jurong Island, Jurong Island, Pulau Tekong, Pulau Ubin and Sentosa Island. The total area of Singapore is very small when compared to countries like Malaysia or Indonesia as the total land area of Singapore falls around 700 square kilometers, with 1.444 % of the area submerged under water. The climate in Singapore can be classified as tropical rainforest weather so therefore, the country has a high humidity level and abundant rainfall throughout the year. Usually, the average temperature of Singapore falls between 22ēC to 34ēC.
